He's Seen he Light!Before I found you folks at Skylighter I was doing a lot of messing around with stuff, not good stuff ether, I was making mercury fulminate, RDX, guncotton, pearllite, stupid stuff like that. But I don't like blowing stuff up, any idiot can do that with a can of gas or some propane, so I started adding stuff (metals, minerals, ect.) to my basic mixes to try to get color, sparks, some thing - any thing. But with not much luck, MF is kinda "fast" as you probably know, and not much survives its flame envelope. Then, I stumbled across Skylighter! First thing I did was order the "beginners bible" Tom Perigrins, Introductory Practical Pyrotechnics and some flying fish fuse and from that point on you folks changed my life! No more risky (not to mention illegal) substances now its beautiful colors, hanging sparks, patterns in the night sky and probably my favorite, whistling rockets! I don't even like using flash powder much, I really only use it to break up my rockets a bit to get smaller fallout for safety.
I have really found that one thing in my life that makes it all worth while and it is something that will be able to grow and mature with me thru out my life and I finally have a hobby that my kids love to see me do! (of course my wife hates it but, you can't please all the people all the time, now can you.:)
But any how, I owe it all to you folks there at Skylighter. Thanks for Showing Me The LIGHT!

What a Great Wireless Ignition Device.Bought one of your wireless ignition modules last year and had a great time lighting off my class 3 display. This has been one of the best buys I have got ever. The closeness of the modules allows short lead wiring relative to the mortar tubes and a wonderfully compact setup. I plan to sell my mini-96 with the 50 lb. 100 ft cables no pass thru modules or any other crap. I AM Wireless from now on. Loves Quiet Sky LanternsBy the way, I love the sky lanterns. I launched one at night so my daughter could watch and she loved it. I was in the back parking lot of my apartment building when I launched it and once it got above tree top level it drifted over to the other side of the building as it continued it's ascent. We went over there to continue watching, and got a good laugh because a nieghbor friend of mine was on his balcony talking on his cellphone telling his girlfriend that he was seeing UFO's! I don't think I am going to let him in on the secret until I launch a couple more. One other nice thing about the lanterns is that they are quiet. Some of my family, including my daughter, do not like noisy fireworks. (even though I love 'em)

He Becomes a Fireworks AlchemistAfter watching my display of fountains using things like pine charcoal, ferro-titanium, etc, one of my friends remarked that I must be a modern-day alchemist. "Oh, why?" I asked, taking a small shell, which contained some sodium-oxalate laced twinkler stars out to the launch stand. "Because you turn various chemicals into gold."

Service is Few & Far Between, Newletters are GreatRegarding my last order in July. I ordered two books one of which was AFN II. When the books arrived the box looked like an accordion, the smaller book was fine but the AFN II was badly damaged. I called you guys kind of expecting the usual wait of a return shipping label. Instead, a representative said he would send another copy out right away, no need to return the damaged one. This kind of customer service is few and far between even with large companies. Although I'm new to this hobby, I know who I will be doing my ordering through. The newsletters are also great, I want to try the visco rockets (I haven't made anything yet, it looks like a good place to start.)
